Writing killer Amazon product descriptions is crucial for boosting sales.

Here's the framework we've used to help 400+ brands over 10+ years:

1️⃣ Start with a bang

Use an attention-grabbing headline that highlights your product's main benefit.

Let's look at an example:

❌ Bad: "Organic Green Tea Bags"

✅ Good: "Boost Your Energy Naturally: Organic Green Tea with a Citrus Twist"

The second headline immediately tells the customer what they'll gain from the product. It's specific, benefit-focused, and intriguing.

2️⃣ Break it up

Use short paragraphs, bullet points, and subheadings. Make it easy to scan, especially on mobile.

Here's what you might write:

  • Natural Energy Boost

    Our green tea blend gives you a smooth, jitter-free energy lift. Perfect for busy mornings or midday slumps.

  • Refreshing Citrus Flavor
    We've added a hint of lemon and orange for a bright, refreshing taste. No artificial flavors – just pure, natural goodness.

  • 50 Tea Bags Per Box

    Enough for almost two months of daily use.
    Great value for your money!

Notice how each section is short, focused, and easy to read at a glance.

Here’s what it can look like:

3️⃣ Front-load benefits

Put your most important selling points at the top. Don't make customers hunt for info.

Example:

"Imagine starting your day with a cup of tea that not only tastes great but also:

  • Boosts your energy naturally

  • Supports your immune system

  • Helps you stay focused

Our Organic Green Tea does all this and more. Keep reading to discover why health enthusiasts love our blend!"

4️⃣ Sprinkle in keywords

Include relevant search terms you couldn't fit in the title or bullet points.

For our green tea example, we might include phrases like:

  • Antioxidant-rich

  • Metabolism support

  • Eco-friendly packaging

  • Fair trade certified

These keywords help your product show up in more searches without sounding forced.

5️⃣ Use HTML wisely

Bold key points and separate paragraphs, but avoid page breaks that can mess up mobile formatting.

Here's a snippet of how this might look in your description:

For example:
